A collaboration between She She and artist, Cheryle Rutledge via Creativity Explored.

Creativity Explored is an extremely inspiring studio-based collective in San Francisco that partners with developmentally disabled artists to celebrate and nurture the creative potential in all of us. We were immediately drawn to the work of the dynamic Cheryle Rutledge. Rutledge starts the day by drawing or painting one of her signature hearts on her hand. After selecting her color scheme, Rutledge works painstakingly on each piece for a surprisingly fanciful result. In 2009, Rutledge began incorporating whimsically drawn figures into her fields of hearts, including pill bottles, elephants, and small self-portraits, adding a new and exciting dimension to her work.

We used Cheryle’s existing artwork and created a new repeat pattern in two unique color-ways on a metallic grasscloth, of course with her blessing and approval.
